Privacy Policy

BYT Rewards ("the App") is a World Mini App. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is handled.

Data we collect

Through World ID and MiniKit, the App reads your wallet address, World username and profile picture solely to display your profile and enable in-app features. World ID verification is performed by World App — the App never accesses your biometric or identity data.

Backend data

To run rewards, the leaderboard, referrals, payment requests and optional notifications, the App stores on secure servers: your wallet address, your World username, your streak and referral counts, the payment requests you send or receive (including the amount and any note you write), reward-claim records and timestamps, anonymous in-app usage events, your notification opt-in, and — only if you claim the one-time World ID bonus — a World ID nullifier used solely to stop the same person claiming twice. The App never stores your biometrics or World ID identity data.

Local storage

App preferences and wallet state are stored in your device's local storage.

Notifications

Notifications are sent only if you explicitly opt in, and can be revoked at any time in World App settings.

Service providers

The App does not sell or rent your data. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers needed to run it (hosting, database, and World's notification service). On-chain transactions are publicly visible on World Chain by nature of the blockchain.

Data retention

Data is kept only as long as needed for the feature it powers — payment requests, for example, automatically expire after 14 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at byt@bishouy.com.

Eligibility

The App is not directed to anyone below the age required by their local law for digital financial services.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
